Images from city life
Daily life in the city. Born in the big city of Amsterdam, I learned to love canals and the houses with their special facades. In 2022 I started au plein air painting a small cityscape that I worked out in the studio. But after the challenge of recreating Vermeer's second street, I really got the taste.

2022While I was preparing to make Vermeer's second street, I wanted to paint this cityscape for myself. A place that had given me a good feeling on several visits to Delft. So the curve of the bridge, the perspective, the windows and the beautifully restored houses warmed up in the sun. History in Autumn with "a golden edge" After the Flemingstraat, I was also able to give Markt 2 and 4 a face.
