The Amsterdam I grew up in. Although I lived in the suburbs. Growing up I avoided the city, loved nature more, did see the birds catching fish from the canals. The immense bustle that always bothered me is not always everywhere and in all places. And certainly not on this corner that I cycled over so often, also with my father on a work / school day. The Keizersgracht Reguliersgracht, Called 'the seven bridges'. And cycled past. It wasn't until I left that I felt that I had roots there that cannot be ignored. I really like the history in the streets.
