Children
After making birth portraits and imagining a child's life ended abruptly, there were also occasional meetings at which I was touched. I went to look at my surroundings and personal history. My goal was to immerse myself in the lives of children and sometimes, try "memories" to get it here and now.

Two sisters
2021Sometime in the 1950s, these sisters enjoyed swinging in their garden. What a pleasure to be together. There was another mottled grey-yellow photo. I colored it on this canvas. The client has found a nice spot on the wall for her childhood memory.

Hello!

Stool

Together at adventure

2014Putting children into the sunshine, while painting. Like this one, this was a moment of fun, discovering the sandbox and what you can do with that fun stuff ... He grew up in a home where his mother happyly had cheered: "such a large garden! Than maybe will fit in well a previously purchased sandbox. Bicycle
2014Looking at my history, I ended up with a then brand new service apartment. His was put through her siblings on a bicycle. Such a lovely sweet child, so small and pretty-pretty, now there are other people living in the house, and she recently had her third grandchild on her lap. I myself have two grandchildren. Time goes by, and at the same time dissolves, when I make the painting.

2014Last summer I was invited to a lovely place, the picking garden in Brabant. There was the sun, full of flowers and nature with enchanting spots. In a quiet corner, I met this girl Femke, who was completely mesmerized by the life in the water beneath her. I want to pass that image. Enjoy, wonder and discovery talking to me immensely.
