De Bilt Art Market 2026
- De Bilt Art Market 2026: One Week Later To give the organizers a little more breathing room, the market in 2026 will be moved back one week. It will kick off on Friday the 18th with a music night, and on Saturday the 19th, there will be an art market with over 100 booths. Booth numbers will be announced in due course.

The Hoogekampse plas
2024The Hoogekampse plas is a piece of water( and land) that after a time as a garbage dump. has been addressed and then taken into protection as a nature area. You can often find bird watchers there with their binoculars to see what birds and bird species are present. At least it is a safe nesting area for the bank swallow. I occasionally include the area in my walking route.
Still life in the polder
2018Outside we were painting, the canvas stayed put aside for a long time. It was unfinished, the idea was there, but the moment of sitting outside no longer. Memories and photos work very well. Hey, did I see something swimming there now? Almost camouflaged. but still visible. Peace. And again enjoy, the silence the sun on the sun hat .. the experience happens again, when looking at this painting. And I remember how we were sitting along the shore with our easels.
Swan on its nest
2026Around De Bilt, you can sometimes spot them in their usual spots. Swans—and with a bit of luck—return to nest there year after year.

2026A small group of young swans in the water. Following a large 100 x 120 cm painting of a landing swan, here is a small group of young swans who still live together as a family and have not yet left the nest. There is much to reflect upon regarding these birds.
Along the dike
2025Along the Voordorpse Dijk, near my Atelier, I was struck by this row of trees. One day I packed my things and a stool, to start this little work there. Later in my studio, I worked it out.
Hotel de Koophandel
2023In this version of "a streetscape", I was struck by the sunlight and the colourfulness. And while painting I discovered that this painting is also a beautiful ode to the old masters as a source of inspiration. In this way it provides a beautiful image of this sparkling city and the inspiration for artistic expressions.

2024On one of the beautiful days in autumn we saw this tree. I was struck by the beautiful warm colors and wanted to try translating it with pastel pencils.

2022Several live in my pond. I regularly rescue one that ends up in the yard with the cats and move it, pretending to be dead, to the protected front yard with pond. And when the sun shines you can see one sitting on the leaf or on a piece of bark along the edge, like this good friend..

2026Simply because I think it’s a beautiful flower. Sometimes hidden among the leaves in my mini pond. It would be nice to make a pair of them. Number two is on my easel. So special—that pinkish-red color and the yellow pistils unfolding.

2018While I am on holiday, abroad, the sparrows take it too. In the warm summer sun, I see small groups playing along the edge of a lake. The colors are so natural that it is as if they are wearing a camouflage suit. With the soaking, the water that gently drifts on the bank breaks into small shiny waves.
